Päijät-Sote no longer carries out the coronavirus tests required for travel abroad

The Päijät-Sote testing points no longer carry out the coronavirus tests required for travel abroad. According to the national coronavirus testing strategy, coronavirus tests for travel abroad from Finland need to be carried out in private healthcare facilities. For these coronavirus tests a fee must be paid.

The tests required when returning to Finland can be had free of charge from public healthcare services, and on returning home you can make an appointment for a coronavirus test at the Päijät-Sote testing point. The test can be booked through the omaolo.fi service, or by calling the emergency number 116117, if electronic booking does not work. Kela does not pay for corona tests carried out by private healthcare providers for travel purposes.
