Päijät-Sote provides rehabilitation and medical aids services to clients of all ages, to all Päijät-Häme hospitals, health and social services (Sote) centres and family centres in the Päijät-Häme region.

Rehabilitation services according to life situation
At Päijät-Häme Joint Authority for Health and Wellbeing (Päijät-Sote), you can get basic rehabilitation services for children and adults and the most common medical aids for adults from the health and social services centre. Outpatient rehabilitation has a centralized appointment number, which also provides guidance and counseling. Adult services apply to those over 16 years of age.
Rehabilitation research, rehabilitation guidance, intensive rehabilitation and medical aids for children as well as medical aids that require special skills are available from the central hospital. Rehabilitation services are also available at both the central hospital and primary care units. The hospital also employs health and social workers who assess and support patients’ ability to function and assist with subsistence and support matters.
Patients in need of intensive rehabilitation are treated in Jalmari Salpausselkä Rehabilitation Hospital’s units J41 and J42. There is also a memory outpatient clinic and a geriatric outpatient clinic specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of geriatric syndromes.
Home rehabilitation supports independent living at home and in the everyday environment when functional capacity has decreased or is threatened. The cause may be, e.g., an accident, illness or surgery.
